SMM March 24 News:

In February 2025, China's artificial graphite exports were 4,607 mt, up 440% MoM and up 325% YoY. In terms of average import prices, in February 2025, the average price of China's artificial graphite imports was 17,933 yuan/mt, down 74% MoM and down 77% YoY.

In February 2025, China's artificial graphite exports were 21,389 mt, down 57% MoM and down 50% YoY. Regarding the average export prices, in February 2025, the average price of China's artificial graphite exports was 16,469 yuan/mt, down 95% MoM and up 33% YoY.

In February 2025, on the import side, the volume of imports surged nearly fivefold this month. According to SMM, this surge was mainly attributed to the establishment and commencement of production at overseas plants by Chinese anode material factories. On the export side, affected by the start of production at overseas plants by Chinese anode material factories and the disruption of domestic logistics before and after the Chinese New Year holiday, the volume of artificial graphite exports declined 57% MoM this month.
